Warwick, NY…As part of its 3rd Anniversary celebration on June 8th, Warwick Grove, the new, traditional neighborhood community for Active Adults, held a porch-decorating contest. Homeowners went to great lengths to spruce up their front porches, which are some of the most prominent and memorable features of this historically accurate neighborhood located in the charming Village of Warwick next to Memorial Park.

The winning porch was that of Anne Fix, the homeowner of a colonial-style house, “The Greenwood,” which features a front yard designed around a low, stepped rock wall that encloses beds of flowering annual and perennial plants. The front porch is hung with pots of flowers and a series of planted window boxes. A billowing American flag provides the finishing touch for this picture-perfect early summer scene.

Judges for the contest were Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton and prominent Warwick interior designer Marina Alario.

A drawing was held for two special prizes, including a wine refrigerator donated by GE, a sponsor of the event, and a gift basket, created by The Pear Tree and donated by Warwick Grove. The winner of the wine refrigerator was Fran and James King and Tracey Brooker won the gift basket.

Warwick Grove is continuing its third anniversary with special discounts and incentives on single-family homes, town homes and condominiums throughout the month of June. For more information, please contact the Warwick Grove Showcase and Design Center at 845-988-5274.
